The first
I was sitting on the train back home when at this particular station, this guy boarded the train. He was holding onto his daughter’s hand and they stood at the corner beside my seat. Guess it was the little girl who attracted my attention as she was quite an adorable little girl. They were talking as they entered and somehow or rather, I found that I was eavesdropping on their conversation.
“DADDY!! What’s the difference between the first and second?” the little girl said.
*Silence*
KPO as I always was, I inched nearer to hear what the daddy was going to answer his daughter.
*Silence*
Puzzled by the long silence from the conversation, I leaned even closer to listen to the hearings of a father.
“DADDY!! I can c myself in your eye!” the little girl said this time.
This time, I too glanced up at the small figure only to see her looking up gleefully at her father while the towering father was looking down on the little figure.
Puzzled by why the father did not say anything, I looked into the eyes of the father and suddenly I heard his voice.

I found myself looking back at the small figure who was holding onto her fathers hands. The little girl was still looking up at her father in the eye, fascinated by the reflection of herself in her father’s eyes.
It was now then I realized that the voice was not coming from his mouth but from the reflection in his eyes. The tears that were welling up in his eyes….
