Ok! I kinda take back what I feel about SIA Kris cust service.
Its a long story but oh well, since i have plenty of time here. Sitting around in front of the TV, eating chips. I might as well use a bit of my brains b4 they start rotting.
I was suppose to fly back to Houston on the 12th Sept. BUT!!! Hurricane IKE is predicted to make landfall onto Houston on 12th Sept!! The same day that i am suppose to fly back. The flights will definitely be cancelled and since I do not wanna mess up my course on the 15th, I wanted to fly back earlier b4 the hurricane make landfall.
SO i called up SIA to tell them about the situation n asked if they could make any arrangement for me to change my flight and fly back earlier. Guess what the GER told me?? Sorry MR CHENG. As urs is a redemption tix, we cant make any changes for u... you would have to go down to the airport that day n see what arrangements UA have.
WHAT THE!! I know UA will definitely be cancelling their flights and N have already got theirs re-scheduled @ no cost since it was due to weather conditions. So i explain to the ger that it would be pointless for me to sit down in the airport and wait overnight there @ the airport.
She kept insisting that i cant make any changes while i KNOW I CAN!! I got pissed and got her to give me UA no so i can contact them directly. She refused and that pissed me off even further... after a long conversation, i finally managed to ask her to check with UA regarding the arrangement for the flights that are gonna be affected by IKE. She said she will call me back later n guess what.... she took 2-3hrs to check n called me in the wee hours like 3am US timing w/o considering the time diff.
So i went down to the airport n true enough i was re-scheduled for a flight 2 DAYS later on 14th!! OMG.. i have to find some place to stay for 2 nights! Luckily this time i got the UA cust no and made my changes myself with UA directly (cause my flight was re-scheduled again to the 15th). UA did not charge me anything cause it was due to weather condition.
Then suddenly J called me to ask me to extend my stay in Vegas cause the condition in Houston is really bad.. no power, no water.... he wanted me to stay till 22th...
So i called up UA n told them that i wanna re-schedule again. They will really helpful and willing to reschedule my flight but found out that mine was a booking from SIA. So they told me to call SIA to get them to change for me instead... i tried to convince them that they dun have any say in the flights of UA and eventually i will be getting back to UA again... it din work...
So the story goes again... i was skeptical about calling SIA cause i thot they are pretty useless and unhelpful. What would they noe about hurricance, floods when they are sitting in an aircon office in peaceful SG?? Luckily this C came along and boy she was really good. She was patient to listen to my probs and so helpful that she got everything settled for me!! She even considered the time diff and tried to avoid calling me during unearthly hours....She really made my day with the good service and professionalism. N i must say she did saved the reputation n impression that SIA had in my mind... Thanks!

Lately i have been listening to this singer "Sarah Bareilles" n i could say i am starting to fall in love with her songs. She is not really the cutie sweetie kinda singer which i will adore but she has this really mesmerizing voice that really captivates me when i listen to her sing. Full of emotion and feelings. But since this is her 1st album (which is always the best for those song writing singers) i hope she dun lose her style and start getting commercial... Try Gravity, City and Love Song. They are really nice.
